what is a burger?

"burger" started appearing in reply sections around late 2024. nobody knows exactly where it came from. some say discord. others say it emerged from the depths of crypto twitter.

the term describes a very specific type of person: someone who thinks they're smarter than everyone else, posts contrarian takes for engagement, and probably has strong opinions about things they know nothing about.

you know the type. they reply to every thread. they "well actually" everyone. they wear their ignorance like a badge of honor while somehow maintaining complete confidence.

calling someone a burger is not quite an insult. it's more of an observation. a diagnosis. you see someone acting a certain way and you just know: that's a burger.
